The Last Light is a Christmas lighting service for homes in the Niagara region and the GTA, Ontario. This page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, known as PIPEDA.
What we collect
- When you request a quote on this site: your name, phone number, email address, home address or town, and what you would like lit.
- When you call or message us: whatever you choose to tell us about your home and your lighting.
- When you become a customer: your address, the lighting plan for your home, install and removal dates, and payment records.
What we do not collect
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. The videos, images and fonts on it are served from our own site.
Why we collect it
- To prepare your quote and answer your questions.
- To schedule and carry out your installation, winter maintenance and removal.
- To label and store your lighting by address between seasons, so it is ready the following year.
- To contact you about your own service, such as install dates or a repair visit.
- With your permission, to remind you when booking opens for the next season. You can tell us to stop at any time.
Who sees it
The quote form on this site is delivered to us by Web3Forms, a form delivery service, and the site is hosted by Cloudflare. Both handle your details only to get them to us. Members of our install crew see the address and lighting plan for the homes they work on. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you are a customer and while we are storing lighting for your address. If you stop using our service and ask us to, we delete your details, keeping only what we must keep for tax and accounting records.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 905-328-5966 or write to us and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
